Warriors Veterans Beg Coach Kerr for Continuity With Lineups

The Golden State Warriors are trying to figure out what is wrong. They were hoping that having a full training camp with Jimmy Butler and adding a few other key pieces would be enough to put them into the contender category this season. As of Tuesday, the Warriors are 13–14 and are sitting as the eighth seed in the Western Conference.

So what is wrong? Sure, the Warriors had a very difficult schedule to start the year. They’ve also faced a few different injuries that have held almost all of their rotation out for at least a few games at some point this season. But still, the Warriors have lost very winnable games with their best players on the court.

Some people believe it’s the Warriors' lack of a consistent lineup from Steve Kerr that is causing some problems.

Draymond addressed this, saying, "You can't find continuity until you find stuff that works. And then it leads to wins. And right now we haven't done that. So there's no chance of finding continuity… You're not just gonna start the same lineup to keep it familiar. If you ain't f—ing winning, you ain't winning. You've got to change something. So until we figure it out, he's going to be changing s— because we got to figure it out."

Much has been said of Kerr's rotations over the last few years. Kerr likes to play guys whom he trusts, and that has meant some talented players who haven't earned Kerr's trust have been left on the bench.

Draymond is right, though. Until the Warriors find a group that works together well, Kerr needs to keep trying different lineups to see what works. Hopefully, if the Warriors can stay healthy for a nice stretch of the season, they can see where that continuity leads them.
