Timberwolves Star Anthony Edwards To Miss Two Weeks Of Action With Injury
Oct 28, 2025
The Minnesota Timberwolves have enjoyed plenty of success in recent years, and with one of the deepest teams in the NBA, they're full of confidence, even in a very crowded Western Conference. That confidence comes on the back of the continued development of Anthony Edwards, who has established himself as a top-10 player in the entire NBA.
In three games this season, the talented guard has averaged 26 points, four rebounds, and two assists, and while he's not putting up the ridiculous numbers of other top stars, he's still producing at a very high level. Unfortunately for Minnesota, they'll now be missing their top star and leader for the next two weeks following a report from ESPN’s Shams Charania.
According to the report from Shams Charania, the absence is due to a hamstring strain, and while there isn't much worry from the organization about this being a long-term injury, it's safe to say that Wolves fans will be keeping a close eye on the situation.

Without Edwards, the Wolves have a very winnable schedule, and given that they still have the likes of Rudy Gobert and Julius Randle leading the way, this is a team whose depth has become a major strength in recent years. Ultimately, to win an NBA title, the Timberwolves need Edwards at 100%, so an early-season injury that’s cost him two weeks isn't much to worry about, but if it gets worse, it could severely affect their chances in 2025–26.
