Michael Porter Jr. Reveals He Recorded A Podcast With His Brother About His Betting Scandal

Michael Porter Jr. was traded by the Denver Nuggets to the Brooklyn Nets this offseason, and since that time, he's continued to make headlines across social media. It's not for his play, his work ethic, or the nice things his teammates have said, but instead, a bunch of ridiculous statements made across his and other podcasts all summer long.

Since the 2025–26 season has begun, we've seen that slow down immensely, but that doesn't mean he has plans to stop. Recently, Porter Jr. addressed his brother Jontay once more, with the Nets star revealing that he recorded a podcast with the controversial former Raptors player, addressing the betting scandal that has him banned from the league for life.

"We're not able to put anything out at this time. But we did sit down to have a three-hour conversation… It was like a therapy session for us because, as brothers, that was the first time we sat down and really had a full conversation about what really happened, him being super honest and transparent about the entire thing. And it was great."

Unsurprisingly, given all that's gone on in recent times with betting scandals in the NBA, MPJ reveals that he can't release anything at this time, but he did call this a very candid conversation that addressed everything Jontay did. Perhaps one day we will hear the story, but for now, all we know about Jontay's scandal is what we've been told, so keep an eye out for MPJ releasing this, as it could give many details as to why and how this all happened.
