Seth Curry Has an Encouraging Debut in a Warriors Uniform
Dec 3, 2025
“Curry nearly saved the Warriors from a tough defeat at home to the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder” is a phrase that shouldn’t shock many. But what if we told you we were talking about Seth Curry, not Steph Curry? That is a lot more surprising.
However, it is totally true. The Warriors played the Thunder on Tuesday night and nearly gave the Thunder their second loss of the season. They did this without Stephen Curry in the lineup and with Jimmy Butler missing most of the game as well.

The Warriors' role players put together a really solid performance, good enough to hang with the Thunder for the entire second half.
Seth Curry was one of the key contributors to the Warriors' efforts, and it was only his first regular-season game in a Warriors uniform. Curry scored 14 points, had two rebounds, and two assists in the game. Curry shot 6 of 7 from the field and 2 of 3 from deep.
This is a great sign for Curry and the Warriors. The Warriors have needed some extra scoring punch and, especially, some better outside shooting. Curry looked fully comfortable in the Warriors' offense and looked like he had played in the system for years.
Most importantly, Curry looked confident. If the Warriors are going to add Curry into the rotation, he is going to need to shoot confidently and shoot well. That’s what they brought him onto the team to do.
Sure, it’s just one game. But if Curry continues to play like this, the Warriors will be glad they didn’t just settle for having one sharpshooting Curry on the roster.
