Sacramento Kings Continue Actively Chasing All-Star Point Guard

The Sacramento Kings have undergone plenty of changes in the past few years, and unfortunately, things haven't quite played out the way that they would have hoped. After moving homegrown stars like DeAaron Fox, this team decided to build around a veteran core of Domantas Sabonis, Zach LaVine, and DeMar DeRozan, but with a record of 8–24, it's clear that they're not going to contend this season.

However, they may be looking beyond this season, with speculation that they could move this veteran core and continue their rebuild around the likes of Keegan Murray. One piece they may be wanting to add is a point guard, and after speculation that they had interest in Darius Garland, CavsNation is reporting that they are still aggressively in pursuit of the Cavaliers All-Star guard.

At this point, the Cavaliers haven't shown much interest in moving Garland, but with the team potentially needing a shakeup, they may like the idea of adding one of Sacramento's veterans.

This season, Garland is averaging 17 points a game along with three rebounds and seven assists, and at just 25 years of age, clearly, the Kings see him as a potential building block alongside Murray. Ultimately, this has been speculated upon dating back to the summer, and thus far, no serious indications have occurred that a deal is on the way, but with the Kings looking to shake things up again, they're going to remain very aggressive in their pursuit of the All-Star.
