Pascal Siakam Talks About the Pacers Horrible Record This Season
Dec 24, 2025
It has to be a frustrating season for Pascal Siakam. Last year, he was on one of the best teams in the league, competing for an NBA championship. This year, he is on one of the worst teams in the league, competing for the top lottery pick.
What’s most difficult is that it isn’t Siakam’s fault. He is playing great basketball. Unfortunately, his team has dealt with tons of injuries this year. It also just doesn’t look like playoff contention is much of an interest for the players or the front office.

Siakam recently spoke about why he believes the Pacers continue to lose.
“When we decide that losing is not okay, we’re gonna go somewhere. But if we go out there every single day and it just feels like, okay, we lost another game, it does not matter, we’re just gonna keep sinking.
I don’t think we’re gonna get out of it until you lose, and you go home, and it really hurts you. Like, if it doesn’t matter, we’re just gonna keep coming in here and do the same thing and lose every night, and it’s gonna be what it is.
Like, who cares? We just lost another game, it doesn’t matter. I don’t like that feeling. And if we don’t decide to change that, it’s not gonna change. We have to make it happen.
Nobody is going to feel sorry for us. We can’t blame the schedule. The day that we decide that we’re tired of it, I think we’re gonna go somewhere.”
You can hear Siakam’s frustration with the Pacers’ level of play. Can they turn things around? They may just not be that talented without Haliburton on the roster. Still, effort is something players can give without any talent at all. Siakam is just asking for his teammates not to allow a losing mentality to take over.
