NBA Insider Reveals The Two Untouchables In Minnesota Timberwolves Trade Talks
Nov 27, 2025
The Minnesota Timberwolves have been on the cusp of a deep run in the Western Conference in recent years, but have yet to take that final step toward the NBA Finals despite some solid playoff performances. Now, they're reportedly looking to upgrade their roster, with some speculation that they have inquired with the Memphis Grizzlies about Ja Morant.
On top of that, there are many players out there that could help upgrade this roster, likely at the point guard position as they aim to keep pace with Denver, Oklahoma City, and the rest of the loaded West. They've got some assets to part ways with, but now, Michael Scotto has revealed the two players that Minnesota will not part with under any circumstances.
Unsurprisingly, those two players are Anthony Edwards and Jaden McDaniels, who have arrived in time to help turn this organization around after decades of struggles. On paper, this makes complete sense for the Timberwolves, as both play key roles in the culture and the playstyle that this team has built, and given the potential with those two leading the way, it would be ridiculous for them to part ways with either.

At this point in time, it's unclear whether or not the Timberwolves are going to go out and make a blockbuster trade this season, but if that is the plan, expect Julius Randle or Rudy Gobert to potentially be moved, with the team not budging on either of their top young stars.
