Myles Turner Reacts To Getting Booed By Pacers Fans In His Return

Myles Turner's departure from the Indiana Pacers was one of the biggest shocks in the NBA this off-season, as the veteran big man departed the only team he's known in the league after a decade in Indiana. There's been plenty of comments from Turner as of late too, as he opened up on feeling betrayed by the organization as well as feeling that they gave up on their NBA title hopes despite coming so close.

Now, he officially returned to Indy for the first time as a visiting player on Monday night, with the Bucks coming away winners on a Giannis Antetokounmpo game winner. During the game, Pacers fans booed Turner in his return, and now, he's revealed how surprised he was that that was the treatment he received from the fans after 10 seasons with them.

“It was disheartening, man — it was frustrating. You give 10 years of your life, your blood, your sweat, your tears. You take pay cuts, you survive trade rumors…”

While it may have been surprising to Turner, it didn't shock anyone from the outside, as many fans believe he gave up on them after such a promising 2024/25 season that ended in an NBA Finals run.

Ultimately, this has the chance to turn into a very heated rivalry in an Eastern Conference that is lacking plenty of feeling and intensity in rivalries, and it's safe to say that after leaving, Turner may be enemy No. 1 in Indiana for a long time to come.
