Milwaukee Bucks Keeping A Close Eye On A Sacramento Kings Veteran
Dec 12, 2025
The Milwaukee Bucks 2025/26 season has not gone the way that anybody could have expected, and with Giannis Antetokounmpo's future up in the air, things are potentially about to change. For the most part, if that does happen, people around the league are expecting them to pursue draft picks and young, NBA ready players to lead them into the future.
However, there is always the chance that things could change and they could pursue veterans to keep them competitive around Kyle Kuzma and Myles Turner. In that case, a new report has revealed a potential trade target for the Bucks, with Sam Amick revealing that they have their eyes firmly set on Sacramento Kings veteran Zach Lavine.
“The Kings’ Zach LaVine, for starters, could certainly help several contending teams. To that point, league sources confirmed that Milwaukee has done recent due diligence on the 30-year-old guard (and has shown interest in the past).”
It's unclear exactly how the Bucks would target Lavine, whether it be as a veteran to help their new core after Antetokounmpo's departure, or whether he would be a piece to boost the team around their two-time MVP.

On paper, the Bucks and Lavine are a solid match, with the team needing the production they got from Khris Middleton during their 2021 NBA Championship run. While Lavine may not be at his peak anymore, he can still easily average over 20 points a game in the NBA, and with the Kings struggling and looking to sell their veterans, keep an eye on a trade between these two teams.
