Major Western Conference Contender Named As Potential Landing Spot For Ja Morant

Recently, Ja Morant's situation in Memphis has become a nightmare for the player, the Head Coach and the organization, with tensions continuing to rise as the season goes on.
While Morant hasn't officially requested a trade as of right now, the expectation is that before this season is over, something has to give in Memphis. Despite all of his issues off the court and the attitude worries that sometimes come along with Morant, he remains a very good player, and as a result, many teams have been linked to him on the trade market.
Now, according to Brett Siegel, another contending team has emerged as a potential destination, as the ClutchPoints reporter names the Los Angeles Clippers as a team that could take a swing on the former No. 2 overall draft pick.
“Another team league personnel have mentioned as a team to watch if Morant become available is the Los Angeles Clippers. Steve Ballmer is never afraid to pursue star-level talent, and with James Harden not getting any younger, bringing in a 26-year-old point guard with the dynamic, explosive style of play Morant possesses would be advantageous.”
On paper, the Clippers are set at the Point Guard spot, but if they can land Morant to pair with the likes of Kawhi Leonard, James Harden, Ivica Zubac and John Collins, it would be something they will certainly consider.

At this point in time, it's unclear if anything between Morant and Memphis will escalate to the point of a trade, but if it does, LA, Houston and Miami are among the teams to keep an eye on in Morant sweepstakes.
