Kerr Makes Surprising Comments About the End of the Warriors Dynasty
Dec 25, 2025
The Golden State Warriors will go down as having one of the greatest dynasties of all time. Behind Stephen Curry, they won four championships in a span of eight seasons and reached the finals six times. They broke records, they dominated, and they entertained the world with some of the best basketball ever played.
Although the Warriors are just a few years removed from their last championship run, things feel different now. Instead of competing at the top of the Western Conference, the Warriors have been trying to avoid the Play-In Tournament over the last few seasons.
Steve Kerr recently spoke about where the Warriors’ dynasty is now and whether he believes the team can win one more championship before it’s all said and done.
"Given the situation we're in as an organization, the most important thing is that the players recognize there's beauty in the struggle. We're not the 2017 Warriors anymore, dominating the league. We're a dynasty in decline—we know it, everyone knows it. So what's up to us is: how do we carry ourselves? How united are we? We have to know who we are and what’s possible, and we have to be proud of the struggle, because this is part of life."

Kerr is realistic. He knows that with their current roster, the chances the Warriors can win another championship are slim. The league has gotten so much better, and the Warriors seem stale. But still, Kerr believes if they follow the right process, they have a chance. With Stephen Curry, sometimes a chance is all you need to make magic happen.
