Jalen Duren Thanks Pistons Fans After Clinching The No. 1 Seed In The East
Apr 6, 2026
Over the past decade, the Detroit Pistons have consistently been one of the worst teams in the NBA, but given what we've seen them be in the past, they've continued to have one of the most loyal fanbases in the entire league. That has paid off in the past few years, as the team, led by former No. 1 overall pick Cade Cunningham made it back to the NBA Playoffs a year ago, giving the New York Knicks all they can handle in the first round.
In 2025/26, they've taken a massive leap forward, as the team have dominated from the moment the regular season began, now officially clinching the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. Now, star center Jalen Duren has addressed the fans following this major accomplishment, shouting out those fans that have stuck behind the Pistons organization through thick and thin in recent seasons.
“It means the world. We’ve got the best fans in the league… Through the ups through the downs they’ve supported us. They deserve it.”
This season, the former first-round pick has averaged a career high 20 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists per game, and given his presence down low, he's the perfect man to combine with the team's leader Cunningham, who is currently out with injury.

For now, we will wait and see just how good the Pistons can be in the post-season, but with a deep roster led by both defensive and offensive minded stars, the No. 1 seed are certainly seen as a favorite to make the NBA Finals in 2026.
