Giannis Trade Idea Lands Milwaukee Bucks Massive Haul

The Giannis Antetokounmpo trade rumors are starting up again. Every team would love to have him, but only a few will have the assets to make it happen. One of those teams is the Atlanta Hawks.

Andy Bailey of Bleacher Report recently came up with “1 Trade Every Team Would Make If the Deadline Was Before the 2025-26 NBA Season,” and one Giannis trade idea would land the Bucks a huge haul from the Hawks.

"Jalen Johnson, Onyeka Okongwu, Zaccharie Risacher, Asa Newell, a 2029 first-round pick, and a 2031 first-round pick for Giannis Antetokounmpo

After this week's reporting from Shams Charania, in which he detailed the New York Knicks' offseason interest in Giannis Antetokounmpo, it's clear this story isn't going anywhere.

In the real world, we're going to hear about potential trades and rumored suitors for the next several months. In this fake one, with the October trade deadline, the Atlanta Hawks can put together one of the league's most compelling Giannis trade packages.

This is a lot to give up, but a core with Trae Young, Giannis, Dyson Daniels, and Kristaps Porziņģis would give Atlanta as good a chance as anyone to win the East."

This is the type of Giannis trade that could actually happen. Not only are the Bucks getting a young star in Jalen Johnson, but they’re also picking up two first-round picks and the number one overall pick from last year’s draft.

For the Hawks, this would hurt, but getting Giannis would be well worth it. Yes, they have to give up their most valuable asset in Johnson, but Risacher hasn’t shown a ton of promise, and the two first-round picks would theoretically be much less valuable with Giannis on the team.

Would the Hawks be the favorites in the East if they traded for Giannis? Maybe, and that’s why they have to make an offer like this if Giannis becomes available.
