Cleveland Cavaliers Reportedly Reluctant To Move Two Of Their Top Stars

The Cleveland Cavaliers appeared to be a genuine NBA Championship threat a season ago, but after falling short in the playoffs, things have only gone downhill for them. While they're not struggling this season, they have fallen short of expectations to 17–14 in their first 31 games, with the team struggling to separate itself in a wide-open Eastern Conference.

That's led to plenty of speculation over the future of this team, with reports stating that some players could potentially be on the trade block. Now, however, Chris Fedor has reported that the team is reluctant to move both Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen, as they don't believe they'd get an acceptable return for either.

“Cavs appear reluctant to part with Allen for many of the same reasons as Garland — he’s been limited by injuries, is having a down season, and they’d likely get pennies on the dollar if they thought about moving him before the deadline. As with Garland, the Cavs also seem to be higher on Allen than opposing teams."

As of right now, we’ve not seen this team healthy in the NBA Playoffs, and thus, we haven't seen their core fulfill its potential. Now, the front office has to make a major decision on the direction of their franchise.

Ultimately, whichever decision they make will change the direction of the franchise for years to come, and while they're hesitant to move either Garland or Allen, their hand may be forced at some point.
