Chicago Bulls Sign Multi-Time Slam Dunk Champion
Oct 17, 2025
Mac McClung is one of the most intriguing players in the NBA, as he's shown immense potential throughout his time, but to this point, he's struggled to find his way onto a roster full-time over the past few years. At 26 years of age, the formerly undrafted guard has flashed the skill to play at the NBA level, but since debuting back in 2021–22, he's appeared in just six NBA games.
Despite playing in so few NBA games, he's a name that most NBA fans in the world will know, and that comes from the NBA Slam Dunk Contest. Not only has McClung appeared in the past three Dunk Contests, but he's won all three as well, establishing himself as one of the most exciting dunkers in professional basketball.
Now, the Virginia native has found himself a new NBA home, a familiar one, as he's signed with the team he made his NBA debut with, the Chicago Bulls, who have signed him to a one-year deal, according to Michael Scotto.
In the G League last season, McClung averaged an impressive 26 points per game in 32 minutes, showing that when he's given the opportunity, he can be a very effective scorer at the professional basketball level. As for his chance with the Bulls, it's unclear whether or not he'll be given the opportunity to play significant minutes, but given his athleticism and scoring skills, it's safe to say that he's a very solid depth pickup for Chicago.
