Chicago Bulls Reportedly More Open Than Ever To Dealing Young Star
Dec 22, 2025
The Chicago Bulls have shown immense potential thus far in 2025–26, but with a record of 13–15, they're yet to turn that into consistent success. The story of their season thus far has been the emergence of Josh Giddey as a potential point guard of the future, and with Ayo Dosunmu becoming a two-guard to watch, that leaves Coby White's future up in the air.
Heading into the season, many believed the backcourt of White/Giddey could lead them into the future, but now, things have seemingly changed. According to Marc Stein, following discussions with the Bulls front office, they give the impression that they are now more than ever open to moving White in a deal ahead of the trade deadline.
Since returning from injury, White has averaged a career-high 21 points along with four rebounds and five assists per game, and with interest in him swelling around the league, a potential deal could make the most sense for the team. It's unclear as of right now what White would be worth on the trade market, but with the Bulls having Giddey, Okoro, Buzelis, and others to build around, making the move could make sense for them.

Ultimately, the Bulls were once ready to build around White, but given Giddey's versatility as the future of the Bulls in the backcourt, don't be surprised to see the team move their former first-round draft pick as they look to pivot moving forward.
