Warriors Play It Safe With Injury Management For Bulls Game
Dec 8, 2025
The Golden State Warriors are beat up. After starting the season with one of the most grueling schedules in NBA history, their injury report didn’t look great. Before their game on Sunday night, they had multiple key players on the injury list.
Stephen Curry has been out for a few games with a thigh contusion. Draymond Green re-injured his foot, an injury that has been softly plaguing him all season. Al Horford has been in and out of the lineup with various ailments and rest.

However, before the Warriors’ matchup against the Bulls on Sunday, Horford and Green were set to fight through the pain and play. Then, before tip-off, they both were marked as out.
“Makes sense to give them four days before the next game. Let’s be safe,” said Kerr.
This was a bit of a puzzling decision. The Warriors are sitting right around .500 and need every win they can get. The Western Conference playoff race looks as competitive as ever.
In the end, Kerr seemed to have made the right decision. Not only did the Warriors not need Green or Horford in their 123–91 thrashing of the Chicago Bulls, but their young players flourished with their extended run.
Quentin Post was exceptional and essential in the game. He scored 19 points and went 5-of-10 shooting. On top of that, he was incredible defensively, helping the Warriors keep the Bulls to 91 points. He did a perfect Al Horford impression.
Figuring out how to grind through an 82-game season is difficult, especially with the Warriors' aging roster. This time, it seems like Kerr made the right choice. Hopefully, it pays off with a slightly healthier roster for the upcoming months.
