Warriors Get Positive Injury Update for Soon-to-Return Role Player
Nov 21, 2025
The Golden State Warriors are going to need all the help they can get. This year’s Western Conference, like always, is going to be a war. Just making a top-6 seed to avoid the Play-In Tournament is going to be a tough feat. That’s why the Warriors are hoping they can have a fully healthy roster for the majority of the season and get enough wins to at least secure a playoff spot.
While the Warriors have been relatively healthy so far, there’s still one player who has yet to play a game this season that could make a huge difference for the Dubs.
That player is De’Anthony Melton. Melton started last season on the Warriors and quickly showed why he might be the perfect fit next to Stephen Curry. Melton defends well, can shoot the three, and has a high enough basketball IQ to thrive within the Warriors' offense.
Unfortunately, his time in a Warriors uniform was cut short due to a knee injury, one that he is still recovering from.

However, the Warriors just announced that Melton is progressing and could be available in just a few short weeks.
Anthony Slater reported, “Warriors announce that De’Anthony Melton will continue to increase activity in team practices and scrimmages. Re-evaluated again in 10 days. I’ve heard some time in December has been a floating target for return from ACL rehab.”
If Melton can come back and play like he did last season, the Warriors are going to get a huge boost. That being said, coming back from a major injury is always tough, and Melton may not look like the stud he started last season being. Still, the Warriors should be very excited for Melton’s imminent return.
