Victor Wembanyama Reveals His All-Time NBA Starting Five

NBA discourse is a major feature of the online community surrounding basketball, and one of the biggest conversations frequently had is about the best team of all time, the G.O.A.T. conversation, or who the best player at each position is. It's something that has made its way to current and former players in recent times, and while there's always going to be a bias, it's intriguing to see the answers that players give.

Recently, up-and-coming superstar Victor Wembanyama was asked about what his all-time starting lineup would look like if he could put one together. None of the answers really surprises, but it's safe to say that this would be one of the best lineups ever assembled if it were a possibility.

PG: Stephen Curry

SG: Michael Jordan

SF: LeBron James

PF: Tim Duncan

C: Shaquille O'Neal

On paper, this is arguably the best player at each position in NBA history, and given that Wembanyama is still very, very young, it's no surprise to see that every player on the list is from the mid-to-late ’90s or later. With this lineup, the team would have the ultimate versatility, with four of the five being considered elite defenders, and with the shooting of Curry at the one, it's safe to say that this lineup, all in their prime, would be a dominant squad.

Ultimately, there's no way to get these lineups together, but it's always a fun discussion, and when it comes to Wembanyama's squad, it's safe to say that this is maybe the best lineup ever put together.
