This Boston Celtic Dropped 68 Points at a Pro-Am Game [VIDEO]

Boston Celtics guard Payton Pritchard made waves recently by scoring 68 points in the Ball Don't Stop Pro-Am tournament. This broke the previous record of 61 points in a game set by Pritchard last year.

It can be hard for players to find competitive games during the offseason. Sometimes there are Olympics or other tournaments and many European players are taking part in the 2025 EuroBasket tournament. American players in 2025 have to find different ways to get a run in.

Pritchard, known to always be up for a game, has taken to playing in Pro-Am tournaments. And videos of his incredible performance have been widely viewed online.

Filling up the basket has always been a hallmark of Pritchard's game. While playing for the University of Oregon in 2020, he was named a First-Team All-American, won the Lute Olson and Bob Cousy Awards and was the Pac 12 Player of the Year. The Celtics snapped up the impressive guard with the 26th pick in that year's NBA Draft.

Pritchard has seen his role grow each year while in Boston. His strong work for the team resulted in a four-year, $30 million contract extension signed before the 2024-25 season. He was more than worth the money last year, as he averaged 14.3 points and shot 40% from three on his way to winning the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year Award.

This year the guard could be in for a bigger role. Jayson Tatum will miss the season and the team traded away Jrue Holliday. Now, Pritchard should have the chance to show how much more he is capable of on the court.
