NBA Reporter Reveals Three Teams Looking To Trade For Grizzlies Star Ja Morant

Ja Morant has been the face of the Memphis Grizzlies for quite some time, but with a lack of success during that span, things appear to be taking a turn for the worst. According to reports, behind the scenes in Memphis, things are getting ugly, so much so that many reporters believe the star point guard could request a trade at some point in the near future.

That speculation could change the landscape of the NBA if Memphis and Morant do end up parting ways, and while nothing is clear as of right now, that appears to be the direction things are headed in.

Now, NBA reporter Sam Amick with The Athletic has revealed the three teams that are ready to pursue Morant if things do appear to be breaking down the way many in the league see it.

“The Minnesota Timberwolves, per a team source, are one. Ditto for the Sacramento Kings. The Grizzlies’ next opponent, the Houston Rockets, need a point guard after losing Fred Van Vleet to a torn ACL in the preseason but, per a team source, are unlikely to pursue him. That’s just a small sample size of what might be out there, and not out there, if the Morant sweepstakes ever actually begin.”

Despite not being the player he once was, Morant is still clearly a very productive point guard in the NBA, and if any of these three teams could land him in a trade, it would completely change the trajectory of their outlook moving forward.
