Kevin Durant Makes Major Prediction on the Potential Of Rookie Cooper Flagg

Coming into the 2025 NBA Draft, Cooper Flagg was the latest prospect to be labelled 'generational' and 'can't miss' by NBA fans and analysts. With all the tools to be a superstar in the league, the hype around Flagg was real, and while he's just a few weeks into his NBA career, it's easy to see why so many see him as a player with such a high ceiling. 

In seven games thus far, Flagg has averaged 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists, with the veterans around him in Dallas either struggling on the floor or struggling to stay healthy. However, many veterans around the league have taken notice, especially Kevin Durant, who made a major prediction when asked about Flagg's talent and his potential in the NBA.

“I think that he’s going to be such a nightmare… that… he’ll be considered one of the best of all time.”

While there's some rookies overshadowing Flagg at the moment, with many believing Dylan Harper and VJ Edgecombe have outplayed him to this point, there's no denying that Flagg has the most potential of anyone in this rookie class. 

With good size, athleticism, instincts on both ends of the floor, high IQ and great shooting, Flagg will get comfortable at some point, and when he does, the league will be put on notice. They're already on notice though, as Durant has nothing but high praise for Flagg, and if he sees what everyone else sees, it's safe to say that we could be looking at an all time great.
