Cooper Flagg Predicted to Have Epic Statline During Rookie Season
Oct 21, 2025
How good is Cooper Flagg going to be this year? As one of the most anticipated prospects in NBA history, the expectations are sky-high for this 18-year-old. While most players coming into the league that young don't contribute right away, people think that Flagg will be an exception.
Andy Bailey of Bleacher Report came up with “1 Bold Prediction for Every Team During 2025-26 NBA Season,” including his bold prediction for Cooper Flagg’s rookie season.
“The do-everything-on-defense rookie is a bit more rare, but there are occasional examples in that category too.
Those who do it all on both ends are almost nonexistent, but Cooper Flagg has a chance to be exactly that kind of player.
This preseason, he created offense for himself and others, finished plays as a shooter and at the rim, moved well off the ball, ably defended the perimeter, blew up multiple plays as a rim protector, and even rebounded well.
By the end of his exhibition slate, an Andrei Kirilenko-like line of 15 points, five rebounds, five assists, a block, and a steal feels in play for Flagg. And if he clears those thresholds, he'll be just the second rookie in league history to do so.
Consider this your warning that he's about to join Alvan Adams in this hyper-specific club."

Averaging a 15-5-5-1-1 doesn't seem all too crazy for Flagg. He's already shown that he is a complete player who competes hard on both ends of the floor. It seems like Flagg should easily get 15 points and five rebounds a game. One steal shouldn't be crazy either.
The hardest parts of this stat line for Flagg to reach will be with assists and blocks. Averaging five assists as a rookie when you’re not the point guard is difficult, and averaging over a block a game as a wing is too. Still, Flagg may just be the unique kind of player that could pull this off.
