5 New Players To Watch Out For In Unrivaled Season 2

Over the past two weeks, Unrivaled has rolled out the roster for its much-awaited second season. While there are notable names coming back from last year, Unrivaled Year 2 will feature some fresh additions to look forward to.

Many of these new Unrivaled players are coming off impressive stints in the WNBA. From young studs to seasoned veterans, these newcomers are set to bring a different level of excitement to the three-on-three league that tips off on January 5.

Which hoopers will spice things up in Unrivaled this season? Let’s take a look at five new players.

Kelsey Plum

It will be a full-circle moment for Kelsey Plum as a year of transition culminates in yet another new beginning. 11 months after being traded to the Los Angeles Sparks, Plum Dawg will see action for the first time in Unrivaled. The fast-paced, full-court action of this league is a great fit for Plum’s impeccable playmaking skills.

Veronica Burton

Speaking of players who had memorable first encounters, Veronica Burton helped write history when she competed in the debut season of the franchise team, Golden State Valkyries. It was a memorable season for the four-year pro, as she was named Most Improved Player as the Valkyries’ floor general. Burton will look to carry on this momentum when she competes in Unrivaled.

Kelsey Mitchell

Kelsey Mitchell had to watch multiple Indiana Fever teammates, including superstar Caitlin Clark, sustain season-ending injuries. Showing incredible toughness, Mitchell helped the Fever defy expectations in the playoffs and even became a finalist for the WNBA MVP award. Unrivaled will be the next venue for Mitchell to show off her explosive scoring ability.

Sonia Citron

The WNBA’s 2025 rookie class was by no means a one-woman show. While Paige Bueckers lived up to (and even transcended) the hype, Sonia Citron shot the lights out on a nightly basis, giving the Washington Mystics hope for the future of their franchise. Citron’s booming triples will likely be featured in several Unrivaled highlight clips.

Kiki Iriafen

Another 2025 rookie who wasted no time in standing out was Kiki Iriafen. As Citron provided the firepower from the perimeter, Iriafen made a home for herself in the paint, getting inside buckets and making her impact on the boards. Iriafen will help her future Unrivaled team control the pace of games with her rebounding proficiency.
