Warriors Injury Update Brings Worry to Golden State Fans

The Golden State Warriors can’t seem to catch a break. Their secondary star, Jimmy Butler, is out for the season with a torn ACL, and Stephen Curry has been struggling with a knee injury over the last few weeks. They’ve also had multiple role players miss chunks of time.

At first, it seemed like the Warriors were just playing it smart with Curry. He missed the few games before the All-Star break and decided not to play in the All-Star game either. Reports indicated that he would return after the break fully healthy.

Now, a recent report has come out that he still isn’t ready to play.

“Warriors superstar Steph Curry will continue to be shelved coming out of the 2026 NBA All-Star break, but Golden State is optimistic Kristaps Porizingis can make his team debut Thursday night at Chase Center against the Boston Celtics. Curry and the Warriors’ veterans were given an extra day off during the All-Star break and weren’t part of Golden State's practice Tuesday night. He was back in the building Wednesday but wasn’t ready to scrimmage and did not practice. Curry is being evaluated by the Warriors’ training staff Wednesday night.”

Without Curry, this Warriors roster is not good enough. Even with him, they likely won’t make it out of the second round of the playoffs. Still, Curry is the heartbeat of the Warriors, and any game without him hurts.

Hopefully, the Warriors are just being cautious, and Curry can return soon. If not, the warriors have a long road ahead of them.
