Timberwolves Add Sharpshooter Juzang on One-Year Contract

After spending the first three years of his career with the Utah Jazz, shooting guard Johnny Juzang has reached a one-year agreement with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Shooting is always at a premium in the NBA, especially if you can provide offense in other ways and stay in front of your man on defense. Juzang's ability to do all of these things has made Johnny Juzang a valuable commodity in today's NBA.
Juzang first appeared on NBA fan's radars as a four-star recruit who signed with Kentucky. The Los Angeles native would later return home to UCLA, leaving for the NBA after a junior season that saw him made First-Team All Pac 10 and Third-Team All-America.
Despite his stardom in college, Juzang went undrafted in 2022 and quickly signed an agreement with the Utah Jazz. He has spent the first three years of his career in Salt Lake City, appearing in 102 games and starting 23 of them.
Juzang had something of a breakout season for the Jazz this season, averaging nearly 20 minutes a game. He reached career highs in both points with 8.9 per game and rebounds with 2.9 per game. Most impressive was the way he shot the ball as he finished 84.9% from the line and 37.6% from three.
It won't be all that easy for Juzang to crack Minnesota's rotation as the team has strong wing players in Anthony Edwards, Donte DiVincenzo, Rob Dillingham, Jaden McDaniels and Terrance Shannon Jr. Still, injuries are sure to occur and teams are always happy to have extra depth.
