This Spur Playing For Team Poland Has Pulled Out of EuroBasket
Aug 20, 2025
It was announced on Monday that San Antonio Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan would be leaving Team Poland's EuroBasket squad due to a calf injury.

There are many NBA players participating in EuroBasket 2025, and some countries are loaded with stars. Sochan was the only player on Team Poland's roster who had played in the NBA. But now that is not going to happen.
According to Rotoworld:
"Sochan was gearing up to represent Poland at EuroBasket, beginning on August 27, when he felt pain in his calf. While the injury is not considered serious, the decision has been made to send him back to San Antonio for rehab. The expectation is that Sochan will be healthy when the Spurs begin training camp in late September."
Sochan was born to a Polish mother who played college basketball in the United States. He began playing high school basketball right outside London before moving to the States and playing in Indiana, earning a scholarship to the University of Oregon.
The forward has a very unusual style on the basketball court, doing a variety of things well especially when it comes to the defensive side of the ball. He has played big minutes over the years for the Spurs, but his role could be changing in the next year.
San Antonio will go into the year loaded after drafting Dylan Harper and Luke Kornet in the offseason. Sochan will most likely be coming off the bench for the team, but if he is able to improve his shooting percentages, he will have a chance to play more.
