Celtics Star Gets Closer to Much-Anticipated Return to Court

The entire landscape of the NBA could change in the next few days. You may be thinking, how? The NBA trade deadline is already over, and the best teams in the league have started to show themselves as a step above the rest.
It isn’t a trade or free agent signing that is going to flip the NBA on it’s head, it’s Jayson Tatum’s return from injury.
The Boston Celtics have the fourth-best record in the league and are the second seed in the Eastern Conference. In a few days, they are going to add Jayson Tatum to their rotation.

Shams Charania of ESPN gave a Tatum injury update that should have Boston fans extremely pumped.
“I can tell you that Jayson Tatum has been a full-go in five-on-five scrimmages with the Celtics… The common theme that I’ve gotten around Jayson Tatum is he will be back on the floor when ‘JT feels like JT.’ The Celtics have continued to let him lead that process. He’s in the driver’s seat. They will take Jayson Tatum’s lead as far as when he feels like he’s ready and cleared.”
If Tatum really comes back playing like his pre-injury self, the NBA is in trouble. The Celtics have built an identity this season without him, but adding an All-NBA-level talent will only make their team better. With a healthy Tatum, playing at at least 80% of his former self, the Celtics instantly become the favorite to win the Eastern Conference.
If they can pull that off, there’s no stopping them from winning another NBA Finals and turning what was supposed to be a “season off” into an incredible success story.
