BJ Armstrong Says This Was the Hardest-Working Player He's Ever Seen

B.J. Armstrong raved about Chris Mullin, his former Golden State Warriors teammate, saying the Hall of Famer was the hardest working player he'd ever played with.

B.J. Armstrong teamed with plenty of terrific players during his 13 years in the NBA. That includes Michael Jordan, who Armstrong played with from 1989 through 1995, winning three NBA titles.
Despite that success and Jordan's famed work ethic, Armstrong was more impressed with the way Mullin prepared for each game. The former point guard said during an episode of the Bill Cartwright Show:
"Chris and I became really good friends. He loves to work out. I mean, I love to work out, but he would work out more than anyone I've ever seen, and I just wanted to see if I could keep up with his conditioning, and he would work out literally before practice for like an hour and a half on the bike, practice, then do his shooting thing after practice and then he do another, literally 45 minutes an hour every single day."
The hard work certainly paid off for Mullin. Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, Mullin would spend 16 years in the NBA, mostly for the Golden State Warriors, but also for the Indiana Pacers. He was a member of the 1992 U.S. Olympic Dream Team and was a five-time All-Star.
Over the course of his career, Mullin would average 18.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.2 assists. The Golden State Warriors have retired his number 17, and Mullin was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2011.
