WATCH: Boston Celtics Star An Open Book in Street Interview

In a recent street interview with The School of Hard Knockz, Boston star Jaylen Brown opened up about a number of topics, including depression.

Drafted by the Boston Celtics in 2016, Jaylen Brown has reached the highest heights a player can, making four All-Star teams, winning an NBA Championship, and signing a five-year, $304 million contract.

But the problems that arise for people in the world also arise for superstar millionaire basketball players. Brown conducted a brief interview with the School of Hard Knockz, but touched on a variety of topics. He told the interviewer at one point:

"I’ve dealt with anxiety, even depression. I’ve been to some very dark places. But I feel like those dark places have allowed my light to shine."

The Celtics star also said that his faith has been an important part of his career: "I do. And anytime I’ve ever been alone, I’ve just always filled that space with the Most High. He’s always guided me. Faith, consistency, and hard work pay off."

This will certainly be a year of big changes for Brown and the Celtics. During this year's playoffs, fellow star Jayson Tatum tore his Achilles tendon, an injury that will keep him off the floor this season. The team pivoted by trading away stalwarts Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis.

While it can be said that the Celtics are reloading rather than rebuilding, they may not win as many games as they have become accustomed to. But Brown will have a chance to really shine as the sole focal point of the offense.
