Kendrick Perkins Reveals the Ideal Landing Spot For Star Free Agent Russell Westbrook

Russell Westbrook hasn't been the MVP-caliber player he once was in recent years, but for the Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets, he's been a very solid asset off the bench. However, after a season in Denver in which he played fairly well, Westbrook has yet to find a new home ahead of the 2025–26 campaign, and with the regular season on the horizon, he may remain a free agent as the year begins.

There has been some interest in Russ around the league, but for the most part, all of his former teams have expressed little interest, and now he may need to wait for a potential injury to find a role. Recently, however, former NBA player turned analyst Kendrick Perkins suggested a very intriguing option for Westbrook, calling the Milwaukee Bucks the perfect landing spot for him.

“I think he should be on the Milwaukee Bucks right now, I really do.”

While the Bucks certainly have a solid roster, with Kevin Porter Jr. as their starting point guard, many have questioned what the ceiling is for this team, even in a weakened Eastern Conference. If the Bucks were interested, however, they would have already made a move, but with Cole Anthony off the bench, it's unclear if they're interested in Westbrook at this point.

Ultimately, Westbrook's production has slowly declined in recent years, and while he remains a solid option, unless the Bucks or another team sustain an injury in the backcourt, he may not find a role in 2025–26.
