Two NBA Hall of Famers to Help Induct Carmelo Anthony

Carmelo Anthony will be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame on September 6 of this year. Two of his presenters will include Allen Iverson and Dwyane Wade.

After one of the greatest seasons in NCAA basketball history, Carmelo Anthony entered the NBA in the historic 2003 Draft. The class included players like LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Chris Kaman, Kyle Korver, and Dwyane Wade.

Anthony had an iconic friendship with both James and Wade throughout his career, and that strong bond between the men has continued to this day.

Wade was a major rival of Anthony's throughout his career, though they did get the opportunity to play together during the 2004 and 2008 Olympics. The 2004 team earned a disappointing bronze, but the 2008 squad, referred to as the "Redeem Team," would go on to win gold.

Allen Iverson also has a strong connection to Anthony. While Carmelo was still playing with the Denver Nuggets, the two shared the floor. They weren't together long, but Iverson managed to make a major impact on Anthony's career.

Both Iverson and Wade are already Hall of Famers. Iverson was inducted in 2016, and Wade was inducted in 2023.

Dwight Howard, another 2025 inductee, will also have some very impressive players presenting. Patrick Ewing, one of the greatest centers of all time, will take part. The other legendary players who will speak for Howard are Dominique Wilkins, Robert Parish, and "The Worm," Dennis Rodman.
