Phoenix Suns Star Devin Booker Set To Miss Time With An Injury
Jan 26, 2026
The Phoenix Suns have been one of the stories of the NBA through the first few months of the 2025/26 season, posting a record of 27-19 despite very low expectations in the pre-season. That record has them sitting in sixth place in the highly competitive Western Conference, and despite a lack of overall star power, this isn't a team that anybody can take lightly.
If they are to be competitive heading into the NBA Playoffs, this team needs Devin Booker to be in career-best form, and through 41 games this season, he's been utterly fantastic. In that time, Booker has averaged 25 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists, but now, the team has seemingly gotten some worrying news on him.
According to Suns reporter Shane Young, Booker is set to be re-evaluated in a week after suffering a right ankle sprain against the Atlanta Hawks in their matchup last Friday.
Given that he's set to be evaluated in less than a week, that's a good sign that Booker may have avoided a long-term injury, but after falling in their first game without the star guard, any significant time on the sidelines would be a tough loss for this team.

As of right now, there's little fear that Booker will be out long-term for the Suns, but given their lack of scoring without him as their No. 1, the hope will be that he's back in just a few weeks, because if not, this may be a team that goes on a slide.
